These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the SODATERU website and the purchase of products from our store. By using this site or placing an order, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use this site.

SODATERU is a Japanese-inspired slow fashion brand. Our garments are blank canvases — sold to be coloured, embroidered, patched, repaired, and passed on.

You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to copy, reproduce, or redistribute site content without written permission. Artwork, illustrations, and world designs are the intellectual property of SODATERU.

Product listings include digital mockups for visual representation. Actual colours, print scale, placement, texture, and garment appearance may vary slightly from what is shown. SODATERU takes care to represent products accurately, but variations in screen calibration and print processes may produce differences.

All SODATERU garments are made to order through our fulfilment partner, Printful. This means your order is produced specifically for you after payment is received. No garments are held in pre-made inventory. Production typically begins within 2–7 business days of payment confirmation.

All prices are listed in USD unless otherwise noted. Prices are subject to change without notice. SODATERU accepts Bitcoin as its primary payment method. Other payment methods may be offered at checkout if available.

You are responsible for any applicable taxes, import duties, or fees in your jurisdiction beyond the stated product price.

Bitcoin payments require on-chain or Lightning Network confirmation before fulfilment begins. Orders are not sent to Printful until payment is confirmed. SODATERU is not responsible for delays caused by network congestion, underpayment, or expired invoices.

If a Bitcoin invoice expires before payment, you may need to restart your order. Overpayments and underpayments are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us promptly if this occurs.

An order confirmation will be sent to your email address after payment is verified. Fulfilment begins after this confirmation. SODATERU reserves the right to cancel any order that cannot be fulfilled and will issue a full refund in such cases.

Shipping times consist of two parts: production time (time to print and prepare your garment) and shipping time (time from handoff to carrier until delivery). See our Shipping Policy for full details including estimated windows by region.

SODATERU ships globally through Printful. Delivery windows are estimates and not guarantees. Carrier delays, customs processing, and events outside our control may affect delivery.

International orders may be subject to customs duties, VAT, import taxes, brokerage fees, or carrier handling charges assessed by the destination country or carrier. These fees are separate from the product and shipping price you pay at checkout.

SODATERU and Printful do not collect, predict, or control these charges. They are the customer's responsibility and are typically collected at the time of delivery or by customs authorities directly.

Refusal to pay customs or import fees may result in your order being delayed, returned, abandoned, or destroyed depending on local rules. SODATERU is not responsible for orders lost or destroyed due to customs non-payment. See our Customs & Duties page for more information.

Because all garments are made to order, returns and exchanges are limited. We do not accept returns for buyer's remorse or incorrect size selection unless otherwise approved. See our full Returns & Refunds Policy for complete details.

Nothing in these terms limits statutory rights that may apply under the law of your country.

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or misprinted, contact us within 30 days of delivery with photos of the item and packaging. We will arrange a replacement or refund at no cost to you.

Claims submitted after the 30-day window may not be accepted.

You are responsible for providing accurate and complete shipping information at checkout. SODATERU is not responsible for orders lost, delayed, or returned due to incorrect addresses. If a package is returned to Printful due to an address error, you may be required to pay re-shipping costs.

All artwork, world illustrations, brand assets, copy, and site design are the intellectual property of SODATERU. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission. Purchasing a garment grants you the right to use and customise it personally, not to reproduce the underlying artwork commercially.

By subscribing to the Garden Dispatch, you consent to receive email communications about new products, featured creations, world updates, and brand news. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. We do not sell or share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SODATERU is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of this site or any products purchased. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the order in question.

We may update these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
